The caring team of wound specialists including doctors, nurses and assistants at Pocono’s Lower Extremity Wound Healing Center offers Pocono’s only non-facility fee aggressive outpatient wound management program. With a healing rate of more than 80%, the wound care program helps patients manage their wounds and heal.
Our Wound Healing Center provides thorough examination and diagnostic appraisal of the wound with our onsite vascular testing, digital X-ray, and diagnostic ultrasound imaging. Our patients are then followed weekly by our carefully designated wound care management program. This includes many healing modalities not available at traditional institution centers. Included in this state-of-the-art treatments are, Sanuwave Ultra Sonic ultraMIST therapy, DermaPACE acoustic shock wave therapy, allogenic and xenogenic in office skin graft substitute applications, Vacuum Assisted Closure systems and multitude of wound coverings. We arrange any wound dressing and homecare needed.
Setting our center apart from institutional programs is our DME licensing. We have onsite custom offloading with casting, bracing, shoes, and inserts. Our onsite DME specialist will help you navigate the footwear and bracing needed for healing and aftercare wound prevention.
